Abstract

We report 1000 frames recovered from a real-time Schwarzschild null-geodesic simulation after an uncharacterised failure of its matter buffers. In every frame the geodesic integration remains correct: light bends, the shadow radius matches the analytic value of 3√3/2, and Keplerian shear on the accretion structure is preserved. Everything else is wrong. The 22 matter buffers were found to contain foreign data (code, tickers, morse, barcodes, static, runes) rather than plasma, and in 246 frames two buffers had collapsed into one object. Five classes of anomaly are catalogued as errata: infall, flicker, glitch, sweep and scatter.

Methods. Frames are rendered live in WebGL2 from per-frame recipes; nothing is pre-rendered. Chain state unavailable. Each figure below is one recovered frame; the reader may orbit, pan and zoom the camera and rewind the simulation clock. Cause of failure: undetermined.
